Terms of Service

Last updated 14 August 2026

The short version

Lemon reads your Shopify store's orders and cart activity and reports which marketing channel produced each sale. It is read-only: it cannot change your products, your orders, your theme or your ad campaigns. You can uninstall it at any time and we delete your data.

Who these terms are between

These terms are an agreement between Lemon Analytics(“we”, “us”) and the person or business that installs Lemon (“you”). By installing the app you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to.

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

What the app does, and what it needs

Lemon requests read-only access to your orders, products, customer records and reports, and permission to install an analytics web pixel on your storefront. It uses that access to import your order history, record cart and checkout activity as it happens, and classify each sale into a marketing channel.

If you connect a Meta or Google Ads account, we read campaign names and daily spend so that spend can sit next to attributed revenue. That access is read-only too: we cannot create, edit, pause or spend against your campaigns.

What we ask of you

  • Use the app for your own store, or a store you are authorised to act for.
  • Do not attempt to reach another merchant's data, break the app's access controls, or reverse engineer it.
  • Do not resell the app or its output as your own product without a written agreement.
  • Keep your account credentials to yourself, and tell us if you think they have been compromised.
  • Comply with the privacy laws that apply to your shoppers. You are the controller of their data; we process it on your instructions.

What it costs

Lemon is currently free. If we introduce paid plans we will tell connected merchants before any charge applies, and all billing will go through Shopify, so a charge appears in your Shopify invoice and can be declined or cancelled there. We will never bill you outside Shopify for the Shopify app.

Accuracy of what we report

Attribution is an interpretation of incomplete evidence, not a measurement. Browsers block trackers, buyers move between devices, and some visits arrive with nothing that says where they came from. We work to make our numbers as close to the truth as the available data allows, and we cross-check our revenue totals against Shopify's own sales reports, but we do not warrant that any figure is exact.

Use your own judgement before making a spending decision on the basis of a number in this app. Shopify's own reports remain the record of what you sold.

Availability

We aim to keep the app running and its imports current, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Hosting, the Shopify API and the ad platform APIs can all fail, and scheduled imports can fall behind on a very large store. We do not offer a service level agreement.

Your data, and ending the agreement

Your store data is yours. You can uninstall Lemon from your Shopify admin, or disconnect an individual store from Settings, at any time and without asking us. Disconnecting revokes our access token and deletes that store's data. Uninstalling stops all processing immediately; Shopify then sends us a shop erasure request, which we act on automatically.

We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we discontinue the app. If we discontinue it, we will give connected merchants notice and a way to export what they need first.

Liability

The app is provided as it is, without warranties beyond those the law does not let us exclude. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date at the top, and for anything material we will tell connected merchants directly rather than relying on you to notice. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
